Hello and welcome WELCOME! This is where I have created and embarked on this voyage of self improvement. I’m so thrilled to help you find where you stand in your self-love journey! This is the place where you don’t have to go through it alone. I am here, doors open and all. I know that a lot of these forms and posts can seem overwhelming at first, so I have created this “Start Here” page with a few steps to help you get started.

My name is Cherish Angel and I am known as a confidence coach. As a psychology major, I have experience working with many people in a crisis, uplifting their spirits and helping them transform the way they view situations.

Why is confidence so important? Because it has been PROVEN to amplify almost every area of people’s lives. Having confidence has been shown to improve:

  • Overall health (because you handle stress better)
  • School and work performance (including higher pay and more frequent promotions) (RIVS, n.d.)
  • Happiness levels (Tavan, Jahani, & Rafeei, 2014)
  • Energy and Motivation
  • Attractiveness levels (Buunk, Dijkstra, Fetchenhauer, & Kenrick, 2002)
  • Your ability to persuade and influence others
  • Your relationship satisfaction (Graham & Clark, 2006)

I believe that confidence comes in 3 stems. Self-acceptance, self-respect, and self-belief. 

Self-acceptance has to do with how we feel about ourselves. It means accepting our flaws, our journey, and the pace of our journey. It means giving yourself permission to fail but at the same time allowing yourself to improve because you know that your journey is a personal and unique. Self-acceptance can be helped in the “self-care” section under confidence and wellness.

Self-respect involves how we treat ourselves within our relationships. Do we allow others to take advantage of us? Do we constantly try to please others? Do we beat ourselves up when we hear negative criticism? Self respect means that you know you are worthy of relationships but at the same time you dont lessen yourself to fit into that relationship.

Self-belief is all about trusting and having faith in yourself. I firmly believe that if im not my own cheerleader, I will not get any of my goals accomplished. Regardless of the outcome, you have to believe that you can make it to where you want to be.  We all succeed and fail but what we do after those failures is crucial! Having a strong self-belief drives our motivation to take on challenges, learn more, and to get to the next accomplishment in our journey.
